My name is Luis Withrow. I am a 24 year old renter and worker living in Mounds View, Minnesota. Ever since I was young, my passion in life has been for our nation and our political process, and I am grateful to have the chance to be involved!

I am molded by common sense populist principles that transcend political partisanship and seek to uplift and put Americans first. I am fueled by an insatiable drive to make this state one we can all be proud to call home, and as the first Gen Z candidate to appear on the ballot in Senate District 40, I hope to bring fiery youthful energy and idealism to a political process in need of vigor and new ideas.

My Biggest Issues:

Fair Taxes and Regulations

I firmly believe a system of LOW taxation, and to see that Minnesota stops creating unfunded mandates and combats wasteful spending before it takes more money out of your pocket.

I believe in cutting regulations to bring jobs and innovation to Minnesota, while still keeping regulations that protect the environment from near-sighted exploitation.

I believe in laws that protect consumers from monopolistic business practices which obscure costs and nickel and dime them in unethical ways

Crime Prevention

I believe that public safety is a core function of our government.

Minnesotans are tired of living in crime and disorder, and we need to see real change in our government to bring back safety and justice once again.

I will pass legislation which brings back real punishment for the worst of the worst, but still emphasizes rehabilitation for those in tough spots to help them to get back on their feet.

I will help solve Minnesota's homeless crime issues by creating bold new legislation which gets addicts and the mentally ill off the streets and into treatment, helping them to get better while also making our neighborhoods and streets safe for all once again.

Oversight and Accountability Against Fraud

Under the DFL trifecta, our state had over 10 billion dollars in public funds stolen by fraudsters who only used it to enrich themselves.

I will ensure that all responsible parties are held accountable, and that consequences are faced by both the perpetrators and those in charge who allowed this to happen.

I will work with legislators to ensure we see tangible, permanent change to bring ethics and transparency, helping you to know that your tax dollars only go to fund that which politicians promise they will go towards.
